Daniel Sum
CPTO · Chief Product & Technology Officer
Chief Product & Technology Officer and senior full stack engineer. External Tech Consultant for the European External Action Service (EU diplomatic service) on a top-secret project.
Bio
Daniel leads product and technology at Drimt and brings 15+ years of senior full stack engineering — customized web platforms, SaaS, ERP integrations, GraphQL and JAMstack — across clients like UNICEF, the National Lottery, Groupon, MINI, Engie, ING and TBWA Group. He co-founded the Brussels agency Cherry Pulp in 2013 and grew it to 18+ people before its acquisition by CBTW.
He currently serves as External Tech Consultant for the European External Action Service — the EU's diplomatic service — on a top-secret project, alongside ongoing Web Lead work for AI-powered platforms (GraphQL, Vue 3, TypeScript, BigQuery, GCP, Auth0, GPT).
At Drimt that operator background shapes the product philosophy: surface the right control at the right moment, keep evidence first-class, and let teams ship without losing weeks to spreadsheets. He partners closely with CISOs, DPOs and engineering leads to make NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 work feel like product work — not paperwork.
Outside Drimt he is President of the non-profit Co-Labs, supporting civic-tech projects including la Zinne (Brussels' local currency), the Transition Network and Ensemblesolidaires.be — winner of a Social Innovation Award.
