Hubert Poncelet

Hubert leads Legal and Privacy at a high-scale, PE-backed European SaaS company in Brussels, combining strategic advisory with operational performance. He delivered a €2M EBITDA improvement in 18 months by rationalizing the application and hosting footprint and automating budget-approval and contract workflows.

He brought security, legal, privacy and P&L together into one cross-functional control with ISO 27001/27701 built in, oversees data protection and privacy compliance (GDPR, EU AI Act), and advises the Board and C-suite on governance, M&A and regulation.

As Chief of Staff he translated the CEO's and Board's strategic priorities into execution through a cross-functional PMO and rolled out company-wide OKRs across 12 jurisdictions. As Head of Legal and M&A he closed a €20M+ ARR SaaS acquisition, from due diligence to post-merger integration. Earlier roles include Legal Counsel at UNIBRA, structured trade finance analyst at Credendo and M&A/corporate lawyer at Jones Day. He also served as a board member of Compliance4Business and as a judge at the disciplinary commission of the Royal Belgian Football Association. He works in four languages.
